Good Boy! movie cover

Good Boy! was a moderately successful movie produced by Jim Henson Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, starring talking alien dogs.

The movie starred Liam Aiken as human Owen Baker, as well as Matthew Broderick, Delta Burke, Donald Faison, Cheech Marin, Brittany Murphy, Vanessa Redgrave, Carl Reiner, Keri Jo Chapman, and Daniel Joseph were the voice cast for the abundant dog characters in the movie.

The movie is about dogs that are a highly intelligent race of aliens who were intended to rule Earth, but found life serving humans so easy that they failed to live up to their expectations. The main character, an alien dog known as Hubble while on Earth, is voiced by Matthew Broderick.

The MPAA rated Good Boy! PG for some mild crude humor.

The movie was based on the book Dogs from Outer Space by Zeke Richardson. John Robert Hoffman and Zeke Richardson collaborated on the screen story, while John Robert Hoffman wrote the screenplay.

Good Boy! was released around the same time as Kill Bill. Quentin Tarantino joked that kids should buy a ticket for Good Boy! and sneak into Kill Bill.
