Story

On a snowy winter's night,Laurel and Hardy try and keep hidden from their landlord their pet dog 'Laughing Gravy',mostly without success.The landlord eventually orders them to leave,but fate takes a hand.........

Trivia

  • The film is a remake of Laurel and Hardy's final silent film,Angora Love,made in 1929.Charlie Hall played a tenant in the original;he reverts to the landlord in the remake.
  • The Chimp,released the following year,is also a partial remake.
  • A deleted end sequence lasting around ten minutes,Stan receiving news of a vast inheritance and discussing with Ollie how and if he could share it,was rediscovered in 1985,and has subsequently been released on video and DVD;the shorter two-reel version ended with the landlord commiting suicide.
  • The dog of the film's title briefly appeared with Laurel and Hardy five years later,in their feature film The Bohemian Girl.
