satellite maps
In 2005, internet site Google Maps added to its service a collection of satellite imagery of North America, in June 2005 this was extended to cover the whole world, however the amount of high resolution images for other countries can be very little compared to North America. Since its release, many enthusiasts have located interesting images across the world.
